"I want to share with you Sue’s and my satisfaction with the work that you completed at our home April 2009. As you know, we live in the Westover development in Hampden Township. They are lovely homes, in a wonderful development that were designed and built primarily by Bill Keeley senior. While the homes have stood up well over the last 25 to 35 years, last year we were informed that the service panels that were originally installed do not meet today’s standards and have had a history of problems which often led to fires. As a result, our home owners association recommended that we should all look into contracting with a qualified electrical contractor and have them replaced. Based on that recommendation, I started making my calls. As you know, when we originally spoke I explained that while I wanted to control cost, I didn’t want to scrimp on either equipment quality or household safety. Other than that, I left the selection and recommendation of materials up to you. You responded with a quote within our targeted budget and I confirmed that you were highly regarded in the local market. We agreed to proceed. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly you were able to schedule our small project and get it completed. In reviewing what I paid with others, I was happy to learn that the cost of the work completed was very competitive and in speaking to one of the local experts, the replacement panel which you installed was of superior quality. The statement that was made to me was, “many of our neighbors that have elected to make the upgrade, have paid much more and the quality of the panels installed are not significantly better than those that were replaced." As home owners, we are not experts on the components that comprise the infrastructure of our homes. We are dependent on the knowledge and recommendations of those we contract with to do work.
